John and Tamanna in Rakesh Maria Biopic from April 18

John Abraham and director Rohit Shetty are going to work together on a project for the first time. This film is based on the life and career of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria.

The temporary title of the film is ‘Maria’. Its shooting is going to start from April 18 in Trombay area of ​​Mumbai. Sources said that the first shooting schedule of the film will start at Essel Studio in Trombay. Tamanna Bhatia has been selected along with John in it. Shooting will be done in Trombay till April 20.

Rohit Shetty is very serious about this project. Sources also spoke about the writing process of the film and said that Rohit Shetty is very serious about this project and he has hired many writers to develop the story in detail.

A team has been formed. He had also adopted this strategy for his previous successful film ‘Singham Again’, where about half a dozen writers worked together.

However, it has been clarified that ‘Maria’ will be set in a more realistic cinema zone, different from the action of Rohit’s previous commercial films like ‘Singham’. The film is mainly based on a famous book by Rakesh Maria and along with this, it will also come to the audience as a partial biopic of his life.

Explaining the content of the film in more detail, sources said that ‘the film will not have flying cars or heavy action scenes like Rohit’s other commercial films. On the contrary, the film will focus on mind games and investigation process.

An interesting fact has also come to light that till recently John was busy promoting ‘The Diplomat’. Due to this, talks with him on the ‘Maria’ biopic could be held only at the initial level.
