Religious Service Ban on Former Patna Sahib Jathedar
A meeting of five Singh Sahibans was held in the secretariat of Sri Akal Takht Sahib under the leadership of Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj, in which 8 resolutions were passed. Along with Jathedar Gadgaj, Chief Granthi Singh Sahib Giani Malkit Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Chief Granthi Singh Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Chief Granthi Singh Sahib Giani Joginder Singh of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib and Panj Pyare Giani Mangal Singh from Sri Akal Takht Sahib were present in the meeting.
Jathedar Gadgaj said that the families of Granthi Singhs, Kirtania Singhs and Sevadars serving in the Gurdwaras will be honored. Apart from this, they will be encouraged to prepare simple langar during the last Ardas in accordance with the original spirit and traditions of Guru’s langar. At the same time, Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj has been mobilizing the Panth against sacrilege from the day he took charge in Sri Anandpur Sahib. He met the delegation of Aath Pahar Tahal Seva Lehar on Tuesday. During the meeting that lasted for about 1 hour, he talked about strict implementation of the Hukamnama against sacrilege issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib on July 15, 2024.
Amrit Sanchar Approved for Khalsa Saajna Day
The Hukamnama of Sri Akal Takht will be strictly implemented: Jathedar at Sri Anandpur Sahib. Bhai Gurpreet Singh, head of Pahar Tahal Seva Lehar, felicitated Jathedar Gadgaj along with the Jatha. He presented a copy of the Hukamnama to ensure 24-hour security at Gurdwara Sahib to the Jathedar. Singh Sahib appreciated the services of Tahal Seva Lehar and strictly ordered the managers to make 24-hour security compulsory. He assured the Sevadars that the Hukamnama will be implemented in every Gurdwara Sahib by Sri Akal Takht Sahib. It is worth mentioning that on the incident of sacrilege that took place in Gurdaspur the previous day, Singh Sahib had ordered the managers to keep 2-2 Sevadars on guard in Gurughars day and night.
After the pardon of former Jathedar Giani Iqbal Singh of Takht Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib, complaints are being raised against him, his religious services have been banned until he appears before Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
Sri Akal Takht Sahib will honour the family (Singhini) of Giani Malkit Singh (Khandoor), resident of Gurpur, for the services rendered by former Panj Pyare Sri Akal Takht Sahib to Gurbani Santhiya.
Chief Granthi of Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib Giani Harpal Singh will be felicitated by Sri Akal Takht Sahib for his services in propagating the unique martyrdom of the sons of Dasmesh Patshah Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji through Safar-e-Shahadat. Every Gursikh will be encouraged to revive the tradition of narrating stories related to the history of the Guru and Sikh history half an hour before going to sleep at home.
In keeping with traditions, people will be encouraged to prepare simple langar during the final prayer. This money should be used to help the needy.
Religious preaching movement will be intensified in Punjab. Famous preachers, ragis and poets of Sikh organizations from all over the world should return to Punjab apart from their domestic and foreign tours and select 10 villages of Punjab for the next 4 months and dedicate themselves to preaching in them.
The Sangat and Gurudwara Committees of the city should take the responsibility of looking after the families of the Granthi Singhs, Kirtani Singhs and Sevadaars serving in the Gurudwara Sahib and the education of the children. Efforts have been made in this direction earlier as well, but more work needs to be done now.
Khalsa Saajna Diwas will be celebrated on 13 April 2025 according to 01 Vaishakh Nanakshahi Samvat 557. On this day, special Gurmat Samagam and Amrit Sanchar will be organized on a large scale. Amrit Sanchar will also be organized at Takht Sahibans.
