Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the much-anticipated Fortuner Legender Mild Hybrid in India, marking a significant step towards greener mobility in the premium SUV segment. The mild-hybrid version is now available with a 48V hybrid system, blending Toyota’s legendary performance with improved efficiency and lower emissions.
What’s New in the 2025 Fortuner Mild Hybrid?
The 2025 Toyota Fortuner Legender now comes equipped with a 48V mild-hybrid system integrated into its 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine. This is the same engine found in the standard Fortuner, but with the addition of an electric motor-generator unit, a lithium-ion battery, and a 48V power supply module.

- Hybrid Tech: 48V battery and Integrated Starter Generator (ISG)

The Fortuner Legender Mild Hybrid is priced from ₹43.66 lakh for the 4×2 variant, and ₹47.64 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 4×4 version. This places the hybrid version at a premium of around ₹50,000–₹1 lakh over its non-hybrid diesel counterpart.
