TVS Expands Premium Motorcycle Line-up With New Apache Black Diamond Editions and Updated Ronin
TVS Motor Company has expanded its premium motorcycle portfolio ahead of the festive season with new Black Diamond Editions of the Apache RR 310 and Apache RTR 310, along with feature and variant updates for the TVS Ronin. The latest changes come as the premium motorcycle segment continues to gain traction in India.
TVS Motor Company has introduced new updates across its premium motorcycle range as it prepares for the upcoming festive buying season. The highlight of the latest refresh is the introduction of the Black Diamond Editions of the Apache RR 310 and Apache RTR 310, which bring an exclusive all-black appearance and additional equipment.
The Apache RR 310 Black Diamond Edition is priced at ₹2,87,790, while the Apache RTR 310 Black Diamond Edition costs ₹2,48,990, with both prices being ex-showroom Delhi.
Apache RR 310 and RTR 310 Get Black Diamond Treatment
The new Black Diamond Editions are based on the top-spec versions of the Apache RR 310 and RTR 310. Both motorcycles receive an exclusive black colour scheme designed to give the bikes a more understated and premium appearance.
The motorcycles continue to be equipped with a quickshifter and their existing electronics package. This includes Race Tuned Dynamic Stability Control, cruise control, cornering ABS, cornering traction control, launch control and drag torque control.
The Apache RR 310 gets one notable functional upgrade with the introduction of Keyless Ride, a feature that was already available on the Apache RTR 310.
There are no major mechanical changes to the two motorcycles as part of the Black Diamond update. The Apache RTR 310 continues to use its 312cc engine producing around 35.6 bhp and 28.7 Nm, while the RR 310 produces approximately 37.5 bhp and 29 Nm. Both motorcycles use a six-speed gearbox.
TVS Ronin Gets New Variant and Feature Updates
Alongside the Apache models, TVS has also updated the Ronin range.
The 2026 TVS Ronin is now offered with a new Base variant, while the higher variants receive additional equipment. The updated Ronin range is positioned in the budget-friendly premium motorcycle category and continues to compete with motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Hunter 350.
The new Ronin range starts at approximately ₹1.42 lakh and extends to ₹1.64 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, depending on the variant.
The updated motorcycle can be equipped with features including traction control, dual-channel ABS, a connected instrument cluster, a Type-C charging port and a premium seat, depending on the variant.
The Ronin continues to use a 225.9cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine producing around 20 bhp and 19.9 Nm, paired with a five-speed gearbox.
TVS Ronin vs Royal Enfield Hunter 350
The latest Ronin update also brings renewed attention to its competition with the Royal Enfield Hunter 350.
The Hunter 350 uses a larger 349.34cc single-cylinder engine producing 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm, paired with a five-speed gearbox. The Ronin, despite its smaller 225.9cc engine, produces a similar peak power figure, while the Hunter offers substantially higher peak torque.
The two motorcycles also take different approaches to the segment. The Ronin focuses heavily on features and technology, while the Hunter 350 combines its modern-retro styling with Royal Enfield’s larger-capacity engine platform.
For buyers considering these motorcycles, factors such as engine character, weight, equipment, styling, pricing and intended riding conditions can therefore play an important role.
Premium Motorcycle Segment Continues to Grow
TVS’s latest product updates arrive at a time when India’s premium motorcycle market is expanding.
According to statements from TVS Motor, the premium and super-premium motorcycle segment is growing at more than 22%, while motorcycles with engine capacities of 150cc and above account for approximately 27% of the motorcycle industry. TVS has also reported strong growth in its own premium motorcycle business over the past two to two-and-a-half years.
The company has pointed to the growing popularity of models such as the Ronin as evidence of changing consumer preferences. TVS said average monthly Ronin sales have increased to around 9,000–9,500 units, compared with approximately 3,000–3,500 units previously.

The latest changes show TVS continuing to add equipment, styling updates and new variants across its premium motorcycle portfolio rather than relying solely on mechanical upgrades.
The Apache RR 310 and RTR 310 Black Diamond Editions primarily focus on design and premium equipment, with the RR 310 also gaining Keyless Ride. Meanwhile, the Ronin receives broader variant and feature updates aimed at different price points.
With the festive season approaching and demand for premium motorcycles increasing, TVS is expanding its choices for buyers across multiple segments—from the lifestyle-oriented Ronin to the performance-focused Apache 310 family.
